Quinny

I feel truly blessed to have this happy and easy going little dude in my life.  These are Quinn's favourite things right now.

Face time.  He lights up when anyone stops to chat with him.

Big, wet, juicy kisses.

Meeting new people.  He sure loved his cousin Caige.

Reading with Kelsey.

Tummy time.  He can roll from back to front and from front to back now.  He can do a 360 degree belly turn but when he tries to crawl he ends up doing some funny version of the 'Downward Dog'.

Reaching for and touching anything and everything.  If he can grab it and put it in his mouth he's extra happy.

Practicing sitting up.  We practice on the bed because every time I let go he flops back down on his back.  He finds it pretty funny.

 Hanging upside down.

Hanging out with his big brother.

 His many toys!

His exersaucer.  Also known as the circle of neglect.

His bath.  He goes absolutely crazy in the bath.  He kicks his legs super fast and gets everything wet.  He puts on quite a show if any grandparents want to come and watch.  :)

Oh and of course practicing crazy circus tricks with Dennis.

Leavenworth

We just returned home from a fun few days down in Leavenworth, Washington with the Seeneys. This was an annual destination for Cary and is family from 1979-1992.

Austin and Garrett loving the "Steal Uncle Matt's Hat" game.

Dirt magnet.

The kids loved the pool.  I loved it too, as taking them swimming was easier than trying to scrub the layers of dirt off in a shower.

Relaxing in the cabin.

Quinn and the boys playing Plants vs. Zombies.

The famous rock.  Cary and Lori posed on this rock every summer for 14 years.
1981
This is for you Grandma Debbie and Grandpa Leo.

I learned quickly that the only way to feed the kids marshmallows without a big mess was to have them open their mouths and shove it in.

Rock climbing.

Mini golf!  She's a natural (check out the backwards putter).

Quinn hanging out by the fire.

Kelsey's 3rd Birthday

Happy Birthday pretty girl.  I can't believe Kelsey is 3.  She choose a pink themed party just like last year.  Her only request was that everyone wore pink.

Our birthday girl waiting for the guests to arrive.

Garrett refused to wear pink but once he saw Daddy paint his hair he was excited to participate.

Kelsey wasn't shy at all about opening all of her loot.  She admired every gift and then promptly tossed it aside and went onto the next one.  She sure is one lucky little girl.

Quinn joined the festivities and enjoyed chatting with all his adoring fans.

The kids eating dinner outside.  I took about 10 shots and Kelsey made a funny face in all of them.

Love the pink headband and jewels Grandma Sharon.

Kelsey loved the attention and singing.  I'm hoping for another pink party next year as it makes it really easy to ice the cake.

I love this shot of Kelsey and Cousin Austin.

Kelsey posing for a photo on her new bike.  Sigh....

Big Day for Quinn

I've switched over from a PC to a Mac so am having a very difficult time organizing photos.  It's a big learning curve.  Today was worth the stress however so I could post a few.  Quinn has started to push himself up on his elbows and today he flipped himself over.  So much fun!

This is his "Huh??" face.  He just flipped over from his front to back.

He's pretty darn proud of himself.

Quinn is checking out some toys yet can't control his hands enough to grab one.  Love those thighs!

Oh and some old news...Quinn found his thumb.  He still, however, needs a floor or bed to help him guide it to his mouth.

I had a really cute video I wanted to post but after wasting over an hour trying to get it to upload I'm giving up.  Maybe tomorrow.  :)

June 2012

Time has been flying by over at the Hungle household.  Garrett's preschool is finishing up for the year this week along with soccer, swimming, dance and gymnastics.  Quinn has been thriving, and at 11 weeks old weighs over 16lbs and is wearing 6-12 month clothes.  He's full of big smiles when he's awake but continues to be a big sleeper.  It must be all of the growing he is doing.

Kelsey really loved her Saturday morning dance class.  Both her and Garrett have been doing a lot of dancing at home right now.  Garrett puts on the music and Kelsey gets all dressed up in numerous princess dresses and slippers.  Garrett often wears his Batman outfit.  They both take turns dancing and all dances usually end with a lot of bum wiggles.

Happy Father's Day!  The kids were very proud of their creations.

Kelsey playing doctor with Quinn.  He made a very good patient.

Every time Cary and I go to check on the kids before bed we find them in weird positions.  Garrett is usually hanging out of his bed or has fallen out of bed and is lying on the floor.  Kelsey has been found kneeling by her bed and often has her head where her feet should be.  This night she was the one on the floor.

Ahoy there matey!

Sweet dreams.

I was the spider and had to chase these two bugs.  They were bugs all right as I was trying to cook dinner, hold Quinn, and be a spider at the same time.  Ugh.

Kelsey's hairdresser gave free manicures.  How fun!!

A fun day trip to the new Oakridge Lego store with Mommy and Gran.  Thanks for the awesome Lego Gran!

Outdoor School 2012

We had another great day at the North Vancouver Outdoor School Open House last weekend.  Here are some of the highlights.

Garrett and Kelsey got to release salmon fry into a stream.

 They examined some creepy crawlies.

 Visited the farm.

Ran wild in the Bighouse and watched people make bannock around a large fire.

Threw rocks and had some snuggles down by the Cheakamus River.

Played hide and seek.  This is Kelsey hiding.  She wasn't behind the tree but stood in front, covered her eyes, and yelled, "I'm ready!".  Definately not her best work.

 Quinn snoozed the day away.

Cary made this neat collage of our past 3 visits.  Kelsey missed out the first year as she was in the backpack.
