Scary Santa

Oh my poor Quinn.  Santa came for a little visit at Kelsey and Garrett's preschool Christmas party.  After he visited with all the kids at Garrett's party I thought that my easy going little dude might like to meet Santa.  Wrong!  For those of you who think this looks unusually cruel he was only on Santa's lap for about 10 seconds.  He lost it instantly.

Kelsey was a little more trusting.

Garrett still wanted no part of sitting on Santa's lap but really wanted a candy cane.  He convinced a friend to go with him.

I can't believe there are only 2 more sleeps until Christmas.  I hope everyone has a great one!

Kelsey's Dance Performance

Kelsey had her first dance performance this weekend.  She has really loved her dance lessons.  It was an outdoor performance and the weather didn't cooperate but the 2 minute performance was very cute and had the entire audience smiling.

Thanks for coming to watch Gran, Aunty Lori, Austin, and Cruz.

Bright Nights Christmas Train at Stanley Park

Although it was a wet night, we enjoyed our annual train ride at the Stanley Park Bright Nights with Uncle Dean and Aunty Meghan.  The train ride felt really short after the hour wait but the kids loved the lights and music.

Halloween 2012

We had a fun, yet wet, Halloween.  We had 125 trick-or-treaters at our house this year which is amazing considering the monsoon that was going on outside.  Thanks again Grandma Debbie and Michelle for dinner and for handing out the goodies.

Waiting for Daddy to come home so they could go trick-or-treating.  They were both yelling for him to hurry up on top of their lungs.

Ready to go trick-or-treating at the mall.

My little pumpkin.

 Kelsey enjoying her loot.

Although Garrett quit trick-or-treating earlier than his sister he got a pretty good haul too.

A couple stories from Uncle Dean and Aunty Megs to end a fun day.

Poor Bella in an awesome costume.

This is what I found the next morning.  Garrett and Kelsey were trying to come up with solutions to reach their hidden candy.  I came running when I heard Kelsey tell Garrett that what he was doing was dangerous.  He was on top of 3 boxes at the time.  Eeek!

This is Kelsey trying to tape together spoons to reach the candy.

Busy Weekend

We had a busy weekend.  Here are the highlights.

We spent Friday night at Metrotown with the kids looking for a birthday present.  The Disney store was fun as usual.  They had a little promotion going on and the kids won medals, and then Garrett topped the pimp look off with a glittery Jessie hat.

On Saturday morning Kelsey had dance and Garrett had gymnastics.  Kelsey is loving her dance and is actually learning some moves.  You can't help but smile through the whole lesson as it is so adorable.
Unfortunately for Garrett, gymnastics isn't as cute and I didn't take any photos.

We then had a nice talk with Gran from Australia.  The kids really miss her and Garrett stated that he wishes holidays were never invented.

After our little chat with Gran, Garrett and Kelsey went to a really fun birthday party.

What kid wouldn't love this?  Notice how my kids are the only ones wearing smocks.  I came prepared but they didn't help a bit.  They were both covered (as was I) by the time we left.

Check out Kelsey's face.  Both kids did a splatter paint canvas that we weren't allowed to take home yet.  They were really good.

While Kelsey, Garrett, and I were at the birthday, Quinn and Cary went to visit Grandpa and Grandma Sharon.

After the party Garrett, Cary, and Grandpa went to soccer.  He is loving it and has made some new friends.

Sunday started early with two very excited kids who wanted to carve pumpkins.

Garrett soon lost his enthusiasm after he saw the inside of the pumpkin.  In his words this part of the process was, "Disgusting!"

Kelsey on the other hand dug right in.

Garrett slowly got into the spirit and helped a bit.

After pumpkin carving Garrett, Kelsey and Cary went over to Grandma Debbie and Michelle's place for an exciting game of Wii and a visit.  Phew?  I wonder what we will get up to next weekend.

Quinn just went along with everything in his usual happy style.  Ummmm...you've got a little something on your face.

Food Glorious Food

Well Sir Quinn has been getting me up way too many times each night to eat so, in order to keep my sanity, I started him on solids.

"Hey cool bib.  What's up?"

"Yum.  That was good."

"Mom, Mom, Mom! Give me more of that stuff.  More!"

"Oh ya!  I like this stuff!"

Well Quinn is officially off his liquid diet.  He ate two helpings and would have kept eating if I let him.  I sure hope a full belly helps him sleep.

Quinny

I feel truly blessed to have this happy and easy going little dude in my life.  These are Quinn's favourite things right now.

Face time.  He lights up when anyone stops to chat with him.

Big, wet, juicy kisses.

Meeting new people.  He sure loved his cousin Caige.

Reading with Kelsey.

Tummy time.  He can roll from back to front and from front to back now.  He can do a 360 degree belly turn but when he tries to crawl he ends up doing some funny version of the 'Downward Dog'.

Reaching for and touching anything and everything.  If he can grab it and put it in his mouth he's extra happy.

Practicing sitting up.  We practice on the bed because every time I let go he flops back down on his back.  He finds it pretty funny.

 Hanging upside down.

Hanging out with his big brother.

 His many toys!

His exersaucer.  Also known as the circle of neglect.

His bath.  He goes absolutely crazy in the bath.  He kicks his legs super fast and gets everything wet.  He puts on quite a show if any grandparents want to come and watch.  :)

Oh and of course practicing crazy circus tricks with Dennis.
