We had a busy weekend. Here are the highlights.
We spent Friday night at Metrotown with the kids looking for a birthday present. The Disney store was fun as usual. They had a little promotion going on and the kids won medals, and then Garrett topped the pimp look off with a glittery Jessie hat.
On Saturday morning Kelsey had dance and Garrett had gymnastics. Kelsey is loving her dance and is actually learning some moves. You can't help but smile through the whole lesson as it is so adorable.
Unfortunately for Garrett, gymnastics isn't as cute and I didn't take any photos.
We then had a nice talk with Gran from Australia. The kids really miss her and Garrett stated that he wishes holidays were never invented.
After our little chat with Gran, Garrett and Kelsey went to a really fun birthday party.
What kid wouldn't love this? Notice how my kids are the only ones wearing smocks. I came prepared but they didn't help a bit. They were both covered (as was I) by the time we left.
Check out Kelsey's face. Both kids did a splatter paint canvas that we weren't allowed to take home yet. They were really good.
While Kelsey, Garrett, and I were at the birthday, Quinn and Cary went to visit Grandpa and Grandma Sharon.
After the party Garrett, Cary, and Grandpa went to soccer. He is loving it and has made some new friends.
Sunday started early with two very excited kids who wanted to carve pumpkins.
Garrett soon lost his enthusiasm after he saw the inside of the pumpkin. In his words this part of the process was, "Disgusting!"
Kelsey on the other hand dug right in.
Garrett slowly got into the spirit and helped a bit.
After pumpkin carving Garrett, Kelsey and Cary went over to Grandma Debbie and Michelle's place for an exciting game of Wii and a visit. Phew? I wonder what we will get up to next weekend.
Quinn just went along with everything in his usual happy style. Ummmm...you've got a little something on your face.
