Kelsey's 4th Birthday

My little girl is 4!  Actually she turned 4 a month ago but I'm slow on the posts.

A big thanks to Gran for hosting Kelsey's party in her backyard.  Everyone had a great time.

Daddy and Quinn watching the fun.

Uncle Dean and Aunty Meghan took Kelsey out for a birthday dinner picnic at Ambleside.  A fun night full of good food, presents, candy and giant popsicles.

A little girl loving the special attention.

Legoland

Our adventure continued with a few days at Legoland in Carlsbad.  Legoland was great but a different experience than Disneyland.  The rides were geared towards the younger crowd and now that Kelsey and Garrett were ride fanatics they seemed a little tame.  The sights, however, were very cool.  We all loved the lego models both big and small.

Happy 4th Birthday Kelsey!

Due to her height Kelsey had to endure level 1 out of 5 on this ride.  She got off and said, "Boring."

The lego land water park was awesome.  I didn't get many photos as I looked after Quinn most of the time while Cary followed Kelsey and Garrett up and down water slides.  They would have stayed all day if we let them.

The Star Wars characters and scenes were amazing.

What a great trip!

Disneyland 2013

Well we've just returned home from a fantastic week away.  We spent the first part of our trip with Grandpa Leo, Grandma Sharon, and the Seeneys at Disneyland.  What amazing memories.  The photos really tell the story about how much fun we all had.

This is how Kelsey felt about all fast rides.  The faster, steeper, and scarier the better.  She claims her favourite ride is Tower of Terror.

Splash Mountain was a favourite.  We were lucky enough to squeeze it in 3 times.

 Teacup giggles.

Garrett loved all rides that involved roller coasters or water.  He wasn't a big fan of the rides in the dark but did try everything once.  His favourite roller coaster was California Screaming.  Poor Kelsey was too short to try that coaster.

Cars Land!  Garrett would have gone crazy over this a year ago but still enjoyed it today even though Lightning McQueen, Mater, and friends have been boxed up for Quinn when he gets older.

I loved running into all of the characters as much as the kids.

Quinn taking in the sights of Radiator Springs.

Quinn needed to refuel.

Thank you so much Grandpa and Grandma for this wonderful holiday.  It was so special to be able to share these fun time with you both.

Part 2 (LegoLand) photos will be posted tomorrow.

IPhone Photos

I've finally downloaded my iPhone photos.  These go back months.

Peek-a-boo!!  Quinn is obsessed with opening and closing doors.

Garrett is really getting a hang of roller blading.

Kelsey at her 'Imagine This, Imagine That' class.  She's posing with the monster eating machine they made.

All ready for Western Day at preschool.  Garrett is wearing Cary's old vest (that Grandma Debbie made) and Kelsey is wearing my old vest.  Thank goodness for parents who don't mind storing things for years.

Quinn figured out that he can take apart Crazy Forts with a simple tug.  Sigh...

GET OUT OF OUR YARD!!

Cloverdale Rodeo

This is how Kelsey eats her Oreos (no matter how much I protest).

Bat Baby

Our T-ball star.  He had a great season and loved having Cary coach.

Quinn couldn't get the hang of where to sit.

Quinn at Go Bananas.  No matter how hard I tried to keep him in the baby area he escaped and discovered the climbing apparatus.  He climbed to the highest point and once Kelsey and I got him down the giant slide he headed for the rope ladder again.  He would have done this all day if I let him.

 Sprinkler fun!

Backyard picnic.  We love the sunshine!

Quinn being a real gentleman to his little friend Sienna.  He was so gentle with her.  At one point he was cupping her face in his hands.  I melted.

A picnic at Viewlynn waterpark.

Not sure what to say about this.  Aviator Kelsey (courtesy of Uncle Dean).

Kelsey at her big Centennial Theatre dance recital.  About 5 seconds earlier she caught two girls as they  just about fell down the stairs.  Phew. Didn't get any more photos as it was too intense looking after 8 little girls.

Quinn is ready to join T-ball.

Quinn found an abandoned smoothie in the play house.  He was smart enough to drink it quickly and privately.

Look who is starting to walk!
