January Moments

Garrett and Grandma Sharon playing "nick nick" (naked) basketball.

Garrett has discovered that diaper boxes make great boats and airplanes. I think we are going to wear out the carpet in the hallway. What you don't see is that he's sitting on his stool which is surrounded by his beloved monster trucks.

Garrett had his first dentist appointment. This is as close as he got to actually sitting in the dentist chair. Maybe next time the dentist will actually get to see his teeth.

Smiley Kelsey got her bottom two teeth this month. She didn't even complain. What a trooper!

Even though this was Garrett's 3rd birthday dinner he insisted on "blowing out fire". Nice legs Grandpa Jerry.

"Ampa" and Garrett playing his new game of animal croquet. Only a grandparent can get away with buying a game where Garrett gets to swing a wooden mallet around the house.

After a day of nursing every hour I decided it was time to start Kelsey on solids. She wasn't all that impressed the first day and was more interested in chewing on the spoon. She did much better on the 2nd day and was actually swallowing.

Happy 2nd Birthday Garrett!

Garrett celebrated his second birthday today. It was his first of many birthday dinners as some very important family members are travelling at the moment and we decided to spread out the excitement. Grandma Debbie and Michelle came over this evening and a great time was had by all.

Kelsey gave Garrett another monster truck (which is his current obsession). He likes to show me his new truck and say, "Baby buy me truck."

Garrett and his new run bike. He calls it his, "blue big boy bike" and rides it around the house. He insists on wearing his helmet which makes Cary and I happy.

Kelsey and Michelle enjoying the evening.

Garrett's first birthday. Doesn't he look little???

Kelsey's Big Day!

It was a big day for Kelsey. She rolled herself over for the first time (front to back), sat up by herself for longer than the usual 5 seconds, and cut her first tooth. At this rate I expect her to be reciting the alphabet by noon tomorrow.

This was Garrett and Kelsey's first bath together. It is also going to be their last for a while as Garrett still takes great pride in peeing in the bathtub and no little girl should be subjected to her brother's pee water.

Every fireman needs a pair of moose slippers.

Our cutie!

This is how Kelsey shows anticipation and excitement these days. She opens her mouth so wide that she looks like she is trying to swallow your face. She greets us with this open mouth smile almost every time we look her way. She's such a happy little girl.
